Hollywood was responsible for making a series of excellent disaster and thriller films throughout the 1970s, and TWO-MINUTE WARNING is such a film. It's superficially similar to ROLLERCOASTER and BLACK SUNDAY but different enough to work; it's a real slow-burner of a movie that builds up and up to a climax which is one of the most electrifying I've ever seen put on a film. For the majority of the running time the viewer engages in a fun game of Russian Roulette with a seasoned cast including the likes of David Janssen, Walter Pidgeon, Beau Bridges, and even Mitchell Ryan (of DARK SHADOWS fame). Jack Klugman shines as a small-time gambler while Charlton Heston does the usual hard-man persona that he did so well and John Cassavetes pops up as a SWAT member. The film's direction is excellent, introducing the antagonist in the first scene in some HALLOWEEN-style POV shots and keeping the suspense simmering along perfectly. The last twenty minutes offers incredible violence, edge-of-the-seat shocks, and some perfectly captured chaos that made this into an instant favourite.

ShakeAlert is an earthquake early warning (EEW) system that detects significant earthquakes so quickly that alerts can reach many people before shaking arrives. ShakeAlert is not earthquake prediction, rather a ShakeAlert Message indicates that an earthquake has begun and shaking is imminent.
Using P-wave information, ShakeAlert first estimates the location and the magnitude of the earthquake. Then, the anticipated ground shaking across the region to be affected is estimated and an alert is made available for delivery to devices that will initiate automated actions and people who will be prompted to take an action such as Drop, Cover, and Hold On. The method can provide warning before the Secondary (S)-wave arrives, bringing the strong shaking that usually causes most of the damage.
Studies in Washington, Oregon, and California have shown that the warning time would range from seconds to tens of seconds. ShakeAlert-powered alerts delivered by alert distribution partners could give enough time to slow trains and taxiing planes, to prevent cars from entering bridges and tunnels, to move away from dangerous machines or chemicals in work environments and to take cover under a desk, or to automatically shut down and isolate industrial systems. Taking such actions before shaking starts can reduce damage and casualties during an earthquake. It can also prevent cascading failures in the aftermath of an event. For example, isolating utilities before shaking starts can reduce the number of fire initiations. For every earthquake, there is a region near the epicenter where alerts will not arrive before shaking begins because the ShakeAlert system needs time to detect the earthquake, issue an alert, and for USGS partners to distribute the alert.

HBO Max is finally here, all while unlimited cellular data plans have never been more available. The two seem like a perfect pair, but you might find that you can't binge "Friends" or "Westworld" on the go. At least, not without downloading episodes beforehand. Fortunately, there's an easy way to fix that.
In the HBO Max app for iOS or Android, head to its "Video Options." If you try playing a video without a Wi-Fi connection, it'll tell you that you need to "See Video Options" to allow for cellular streams, so tap that button to get there. Now, if you are trying to download a video or would rather just get to the video settings the long way, tap your profile icon tab, then the settings cog, then "Video Options."
On the Video Options page, you'll see Streaming and Downloading preferences. By default, HBO Max has "Stream Over Wi-Fi Only" and "Download Over WiFi Only" enabled. All you need to do to unlock streaming and downloading over a cellular connection is disable these toggles. That's it.
If you want the freedom to stream and download over cellular data but want to protect yourself from times when you don't realize you're disconnected from Wi-Fi, simply toggle on the "Cellular Streaming Warning" and "Cellular Download Warning" switches. With these options checked, HBO Max will warn you if you attempt to stream or download over cellular. You can ignore the warning, of course, but you can also decide not to watch your content until you're back on Wi-Fi.
For the vast majority of users, this kind of activity has no consequences. People grab the latest movies or TV shows, for example, and then hear no more. For many, this means they simply carry on, oblivious to the fact that their unauthorized transfers are probably being monitored by someone, somewhere.
While notices sent to subscribers differ between ISPs, they are all very clear. They will explain what is alleged to have happened and when, who made the complaint, the content involved (movies, TV shows etc), and what the user should do next. They are designed to be easy to understand and when read calmly, they are.
In basic terms, most infringement notices are like speeding tickets but without the immediate cash fine. They are designed to be a warning and to prevent the same thing from happening again. When this is the case, the infringement notice makes that clear.
While many users panic when receiving infringement notices from their ISP, in the majority of cases there is no need to worry. Stopping sharing the content in question usually solves the problem and if no additional sharing takes place, no further warnings should be received, for that content at least.
Consider the following scenario. You turn on the SmartScreen Filter in Windows Internet Explorer 9 and then try to download a file type that is supported by SmartScreen Application Reputation. In this scenario, the following warning message unexpectedly appears on the download notification bar in Internet Explorer 9:
The SmartScreen Application Reputation service checks the reputation of a file. Therefore, you should not see the generic "This type of file could harm your computer" warning message when you try to download a file type is supported by SmartScreen Application Reputation. This issue occurs because the file name extension in the URL differs from the actual file name extension. (The actual file name extension is specified by the "content-disposition: attachment" HTML header.) Because of the different file name extensions, the warning message is displayed incorrectly.
Some software is harmful and can cause problems for your Mac. Frequently, harmful apps are disguised as a movie or graphics file. These apps, called trojans, are most often spread by internet downloads and email attachments.
I have been contacted since writing my original article by people who have hundreds, even 1,000-plus film titles on their iTunes accounts. And for them, the prospect of having to download and store so many titles to be guaranteed permanent ownership of them is mind-boggling.
* A US Resident tells me he bought Valerian, but then the movie apparently changed studio ownership resulting in the film being removed from his account. And the only way to get it back was to rebuy the same film again at full price. As with other cases, he was offered two (or three - the Apple communication, which I've seen, was confused on this!) rentals in compensation.
* A woman from Illinois contacted me to say that she has lost multiple iTunes TV show and movie purchases over time, with varying outcomes when she's taken each case up with Apple. Timeless Season 1 disappeared, but was reinstated after sufficient 'nagging'. A selection of movie purchases/code redeems were also lost: Hercules (2014), How To Train Your Dragon, Gone Girl, The Intern, If I Stay, The Final Girls, Romancing The Stone and Birdman. All were eventually restored, but only after 'a week of calls and live chats' with Apple. Or two weeks in Hercules case.
You must remember that it can be very difficult to know when a person is going to be violent. While not all people will show the following signs, these types of behaviours and physical signs can serve as warning signs that a situation could turn violent. Always take these behaviours "in context". Look for multiple warning signs and for signs of escalation (the behaviours are getting worse).

Firefox includes a download protection feature to protect you from malicious or potentially harmful file downloads. If Firefox has blocked an unsafe download, you will see a warning message about the file in the Downloads panel, along with options for handling the pending download. You can open the Downloads panel to view completed and pending downloads by clicking on the Downloads button (the down arrow on your toolbar).
